"Keno" is the newest addition to the "Reward's" family. He came home with me on August 8, 2001. I expected yips and cries all night, this being his first night away from his littermates. But he slept most of the night and it just got better from there. I've wanted a Cavalier for 15 years, ever since I went to a Cavalier Specialty in Arcadia, California in 1985. But at that time I was involved in Dobermans and Schutzhund training, then Boxers and conformation, obedience and schutzhund. Finally during the summer of 2001, the tragedy of suddenly loosing my 7-year old Ch. Reward's Esquire of Bix-L to cancer turned into the joy of "Keno" moving into my home and my heart. I have high hopes for "Keno" above and beyond being a loving and entertaining companion. If all goes well, he'll eventually earn his AKC Championship title and agility titles. Only time will tell. "Keno"three weeks after joining our family with 9-year old "Windy". It took this long for "Windy" to decide "Keno" was here to stay and maybe, just maybe, he might be fun. She has started playing with him, but also has taught him respect, or is at least trying to. The funny thing is that she was a terrible puppy and drove my adults all crazy. She was always in their faces. Roaring, snarling, rolling or pinning her to the ground. Nothing worked for very long. She was not be be ignored. Now she's getting a taste of her own medicine. I wonder if she remembers.
